Colameco's Food Site - viewer's comments:

# 703 NY Barbecue New York City has some of the BBQ in the country these days and we'll visit two reason why. Daisy Mae's, and RUB, where we'll get the lowdown on smoked meats and slow cooking. Mike prepares a few simple side dishes and a dessert that works well with BBQ to end the program.

This recipe was on NJN on 4/5/09@1:30p.m. I would really love to have this recipe. Please send it to me! I would appreciate it so much!

The other 2 places mentioned on the show were Dinosaur and Hill Country. I say Ignore Dinosaur and save your money, the place was a huge let down. The brisket had no smoke ring, the ribs still had their membrane and were chewy as could be. Another place to check out is fette sau in Williamsburg.

I was very intrigued by the make-ahead aspect of your streusel. I was hoping for a recipe, but while it's still fresh in my mind, was it a cup each of flour and sugar and a stick and a half of butter?

BTW---you are very refreshing. I actually love your show, although I don't live in NYC. Keep it going...it's an interesting change...
